By accessing or using RailSeat ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
RailSeat is a free, browser-based tool that helps travellers check seat vacancies, coach seat maps, and hop-path routes on Indian Railways trains. All data is retrieved in real-time from publicly accessible IRCTC APIs. RailSeat is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Indian Railways or IRCTC.
3. Data Accuracy
Seat vacancy information is fetched live at the time of each query. RailSeat does not store, cache, or guarantee the accuracy of this data. Availability can change at any moment. Always verify your booking details on the official IRCTC platform before making travel decisions.
4. No Booking or Ticketing
RailSeat does not sell, reserve, or book train tickets. We do not handle any payment information. All ticket purchases must be made through official IRCTC channels or authorised agents.
5. Use Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Scrape, automate, or bulk-query the Service in a manner that degrades performance for other users.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or otherwise circumvent the security of the Service.
6. Intellectual Property
All design, code, and content of RailSeat (excluding data sourced from IRCTC APIs) is the property of the RailSeat team and is protected under applicable copyright law. You may not reproduce or redistribute any part of the Service without written permission.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. RailSeat makes no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RailSeat and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
